After months of speculation, Verizon and Motorola finally put an end to the rumors, officially announcing the Droid X2 for May 26, with pre-orders starting May 19.
Droid X2 will start out with the (now quite outdated) Android 2.2, but it will be upgradeable to version 2.3. It features a dual-core 1 GHz CPU, a 4.3-inch scratch-resistant, anti-reflective qHD display and an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video recording ability.
The phone also features HDMI and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as Mobile Hotspot, which enables you to share your 3G connection with up to five Wi-Fi-capable devices.
Droid X2 will cost $199 with a new two-year customer agreement.
